Bethleigh Flanagan's interest in healing began in her teens, when she took an apprenticeship with a third generation Acupuncturist and Naturopath in Albany, New York in 1978.
Bethleigh graduated from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, California in 1987. She has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in the U.S. and abroad for over 20 years.
After graduating from Acupuncture school Bethleigh joined a team of Medical experts working in a clinic in India for a year. She also worked with a team of doctors aboard a Mobile Hospital Bus. She worked as an Acupuncturist at Girard Medical Center for 3 years integrating acupuncture treatments with medical protocols.
Bethleigh uses the wisdom of both ancient principles and modern research to arrive at your customized treatment plan. Modalities used include Japanese and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture, as well as non needle methods including massage, electro stimulation, Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine, cupping (a gentle suction technique) and Moxabustion (a warming therapy).
Bethleigh is Nationally Certified in Addiction Recovery, completed the NCCAOM examination and certification 1987, and is Licensed in the State of New York and Pennsylvania.
